Teaching style

This is how I teach:

  • I try to limit the time I speak as you want to improve your Flemish/Dutch, English, French or Italian.

  • I try not to interrupt when you are speaking but I do listen to everything you say and…

  • I use a Google document to write down new words, grammar, pronunciation, prepositions, idioms and other interesting things; after the lesson, at the end of my day you’ll recieve a message with link and you can download/read/print/ignore this document.

  • I teach and I coach . I can give you tips and tricks on how to improve outside of the classroom.

  • I try to avoid translation: you want to have your language chip in Flemish/Dutch, English, French or Italian as much as possible.

  • If you don’t understand what Kenny is telling you: just say stop or change your facial expression (I’ll get the message).

  • Languages is about trial and error: try, try, try and don’t be afraid to make mistakes. Language teachers offer you a “language safe zone”.

  • At the start of a following lesson, both when you had a conversation lesson and a more traditional lesson: a short review .

  • Homework is optional but I’ll happily give you something to prepare for the following lesson.
