Language addiction it is. But ….
This is WHY I use the Google Home and Google Assistant apps during my language learning adventures.
1. to maintain my languages (even when time is scarce)

These guys and gals are the ones I turn to when I’ve just started a ๐ language.
Disney has an abundance of songs available and what’s more important to you as language learner/lover/addict (delete as appropriate) they exist in a myriad of languages and often also in different versions of the same language (๐ช๐ธ and ๐ฒ๐ฝ, ๐ง๐ท and ๐ต๐น, ๐ณ๐ฑ and ๐ง๐ช).
Most people – if not almost all – who have Catalan as their native tongue are at least bilingual. I’d already be able to communicate with them in ๐ช๐ธ๐ซ๐ท๐ฎ๐น. A language is so much more than a tool to get your message through to your conversation partner(s).
Smรธrrebrรธd. Hot summers. Freaking cold nights (in our tent) and Lego(land) of course (I was a tween at the time). That’s what immediately comes to mind when I think back to our Danish holidays in the early nighties.
Corona surprised this teacher out of work and while I had worked out a plan for my professional future before lockdown became our new (temporary) reality its implementation depended very much on the evolution of the situation in the place I call home since 2016: Spain’s bustling capital, Madrid (siesta ๐ด! fiesta ๐ฅณ!); though I spent most of 2020 in a small village south of Madrid called Ocaรฑa.
